Our featured artist for September are the LA based indie folk band, Lord Huron. I've only recently discovered them and I'm mad I hadn't sooner. They're songs tell such visual stories and really transport you, which is one of my favourite bits when listening to them. I love bands that have a folky aspect, and over the last few years have learned to appreciate them more and more. There's such a free and honest spirit that pulls you in and intrigues you the more you listen. Lord Huron are a really great band, and I hope you find that something about them that brings you back to listening to them over and over.

Our featured artist for August is the oh so soulful and extremely talented Rory Graham, also known as Rag 'n' Bone Man! From voice to lyrics, he's got it all and you can't help but listen to his songs over and over. The lyrics Rory sings are so real and true and full of emotion. Our featured artist for July is the very talented Kevin Garrett! I've heard his name floating about for a year or so now, but only recently dove into his music. The 24th of June, I attended the Mumford and Sons gig at The Joint, Las Vegas and Kevin Garrett was the one to open. Surprised by how smooth and soulful his voice was made me an instant fan. Listening to his songs you can feel a calmness, you feel connected and at ease. Have a listen and please let me know your thoughts.?

Featured Artist: Reuben And The Dark

Our June featured artist is Reuben And The Dark, a Canadian indie folk band from Calgary, Alberta. They recently did a tour with The Strumbellas which I was lucky to attend and they were an incredible act. Their sound as a whole is something special to experience in person. Singer 'Reuben Bullock' has one of the most beautiful voices, something so pure and raw. They are one band you most definitely need to have a listen to. Currently, their touring is planned in Canada between June 16th and August 25th, but make sure to keep an eye out and be sure to catch them on tour. Have a listen and let us know what you think.

Our May featured artist is Ra Ra Riot, an indie rock band from Syracuse, New York. Forming in 2006, the next few years were full of big gigs for them. Touring the UK on their own to opening up for Tokyo Police Club on their North American tour they continued to hit those marks. They've released four albums and an EP which you can buy on vinyl in their store. Currently, they are not touring but their latest album titled "Need Your Light" was released last February. Our featured artist this month is an indie band from St. Paul, Minnesota that goes by the name, Hippo Campus. They've played gigs from Lollapalooza to Conan, and have opened up for artists such as Walk The Moon, The Mowgli's, and My Morning Jacket.
Recently, their debut album "Landmark" was released, and it is full of some awesome summertime hits. They are currently touring around the states but will be headed to Europe very soon.. soon as in October, so get your tickets and head to a show. Find all their dates here

GET THEIR DEBUT ALBUM A/B OUT NOW!
The sound, the emotion, the heart; it's all there when listening to Kaleo. Each song carries such feeling in a way that is not easily described, but immediately felt upon listening to. JΓΆkull JΓΊlΓusson(singer) has such a raw and textured voice that gives it's own signature to their raw authentic rock type vibe. They give you such a feeling that transports you away into the depths of what I feel is my own serenity in my mind. I'm thankful that they are out there creating their own real soulful music. Make sure to have a listen to their album entirely (at least a couple times) and let me know what you love about their sound. Also, what song do you love the most? I personally love the song that's in their native language titled "Vor Γ VaglaskΓ³gi", it's got such a beautiful tone and I just love the Icelandic language.

First listening to this song (Poetic) and her whole album, i couldn't help but be amazed. The voice she has is so raw and clear and just so so wonderful to listen to at basically anytime of day. along with her voice comes the awesome instrumental that adds an upbeat and unique style to her already lovely voice. With songs ranging from a more soulful/calm vibe, to upbeat/foot tapping I'm sure she has something you'll love and can't get your ears away from.

I've had to opportunity to see them a few times (including at the iHeartRadio Theater where they performed the song above, "Roll Up") and they are so full of energy with amazingly catchy tunes.
