Top 5 Albums of 2017
Hello,
Hope you're enjoying your holidays. Crazy that it's already a new year once again, though. Went by so fast!
Now on to the list...
So many great albums came out in 2017, which is amazing because who doesn't love new music.? Now with all this new music, there were some albums that especially stood out for me which I decided to make a list of my top 5 favorites. These 5 albums I can listen to from start to finish all day long. I genuinely love every single song, and to be honest, I've listened to each of these albums at least 20 times... at least. Catchy tunes, amazing lyrics, and just wonderfully pieced together stories.
This list isn't in any specific order. I really don't think I could choose favorites from these 5.
Let us know what your favorite album or albums of 2017 are.
1. Don't You Worry, Honey - Sir Sly
Favorite Song: Fun
If I were to describe this album, I would say it's colorful. There are so many thoughts and emotions that run through the songs and it's just a whole mix of things.
2. Broken Machine - Nothing But Thieves
Favorite Song: Hell, Yeah
To describe this album, I'd have to say emotional. There's a certain darkness to these songs, but they give you a sense of warmth and light at the same time. They present an honesty to the thoughts that go on in your own head.
3. Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect - Sundara Karma
Favorite Song: Happy Family
Now describing this album is a bit difficult. I don't know why... So, for this one I'm just going to say I love it and you should definitely listen. It's wonderful album!
4. Rationale - Rationale
Favorite Song: Somewhere to Belong
So this album, I feel like is very much his story. It's got a lot of life in it that I think is so much more than just the everyday thought. There's a lot of deep emotion that extends to the bigger issues of life.? Things that aren't so easily solved, but you have to learn to grown with.
5. Lost in Translation - New Politics
Favorite Song: Lifted
This album to me is fun and full of energy. I get a sense of freedom of the songs and they have reminders that you should do you and enjoy your life. They have a vibe that you shouldn't take everything so serious. This is definitely a great album to listen to when needing that sort of pick me up.
Who are you looking forward to getting new music from this new year?
Walk The Moon @ Kimmel
Hey, hello, hi,
So, yesterday I got to see Walk The Moon perform at Jimmy Kimmel! It's even more awesome because these outdoor concerts not only host so many of yours and my favourite artists like Walk The Moon, but they're also free thanks to 1iota (well besides possibly paying for parking, though that's only $2 so WOO!). They performed 5 total songs including hits like 'One Foot' and the oh so loved 'Anna Sun'.
Firstly, I kinda forgot how great they are live... not only do they have amazing energy, but they all look so genuinely happy and excited to be on stage performing. It's not all the time you get to experience that kind of energy and it was also nice to see the crowd moving along to the music. The crowds at these gigs don't always react like you'd hope, so it was really great seeing everyone dancing and singing along.
So, Walk The Moon are heading out on their < press restart tour > in January as you probably know. Which show are you attending?
If you aren't aware of their tour, check out the dates below and get on it. Don't miss out on this party!
Check out some of the songs they performed.
Some photos I took.

December Playlist
Happy December!
So, yes I am absolutely terrible at trying to update and keeping updated... here is my trying again though, because when you fail you should only try again. I've decided to make this month's playlist longer since I missed making one last month and also it's the end of the year!! HOLY MOLY! 2017 sure did fly by.
Anyways, I decided to make this playlist with songs from artists who've put out new music or albums this year. Kind of like a re-cap. I've got a song from Weezer, The Maine, and Sundara Karma in there along with more... obviously. I hope you enjoy the many sounds and let me know who your favourite is from the playlist or share one that isn't. I haven't listened to all the new music(it's an extremely difficult task) so I'm sure there are tons more great tunes that must be shared... So share away!!
Happy Holidays,

“Music can change the world because it can change people. -Bono”
I've wanted to start creating playlists for awhile now, but for whatever reason I just haven't. I am changing that though, by starting this month with a small selection of songs new and old that I quite enjoy.
I'm the type of person that need's music around 24/7. I find that when I don't have it around, I feel completely lost. So, with these monthly playlists I am sharing what current songs are keeping me going and bringing me joy.
I hope you enjoy this month's selection and please share any of the artists you're currently into to.
Always looking for new music and I look forward to hearing some of your recommendations!
